Here in Midlothian we suffer from too many people living on low incomes with the result that low expectations are now the norm. The suffocating hand of Labour has too long held back this Constituency. The appalling arrogance of the Labour politicians and the sheer lack ability and ideas has left us with a sub-standard infrastructure which desperately needs to be addressed. The indifference of Labour's Midlothian Council to the needs of communities can be clearly seen. The closure of five rural schools to sell off the property to developers in order to raise money for their discredited Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects is a disgraceful case in point.
